Fall Leaf Flowers
You’ll Need
• Maple Leaves (or other larger fall leaves with color)
• Floral wire
• Floral tape
Directions
1. Grab a leaf and fold it in half once horizontally.
2. Next, fold the leaf in half again vertically.
3. Now, fully roll up the folded leaf (refer to our video to see exactly how we rolled up our maple leaves).
4. Grab a second leaf and fold it over once horizontally.
5. Roll the second leaf around the first leaf.
6. Repeat this process with another leaf. The rolled leaves will start to resemble a flower.
7. Keep rolling on extra leaves to bulk up the flower.
8. Add a few more leaves loosely on the outside of the roll. Arrange the loose leaves so that they fan out like flower petals.
9. Tie the base of the bundle with floral wire to secure the leaves. Wrap wire all the way down the leaf stems.
10. Wrap the base and stems with floral tape. Make sure it’s wrapped tight for a good hold. Work the tape all the way down the leaf stems.
11. Make more flowers for a full bouquet. You can incorporate these in all of your fall craft projects. We added leaf flowers to our Fall Harvest Swag. Check out the Fall Swag DIY project here.
